KMB4 — Passive Safety Zener Barriers for ATEX Load Cell Connections
The KMB4 range provides ATEX-certified passive Zener barriers for the intrinsically safe connection of load cells to weighing systems in hazardous areas. Available as a complete kit of three barriers housed in a ready-to-install IP65 ABS enclosure (KMB4), or as individual DIN rail barriers for supply (ZBPW), signal (ZBSG), and sense (ZBSN) lines, the range offers flexible configuration for Zone 1 gas and Zone 21 dust environments.

- Supports connection of up to 4 × 350 Ω load cells per barrier set.
- Three dedicated barriers protect the supply, signal, and sense lines independently for maximum signal integrity.
- Individual barriers (ZBPW, ZBSG, ZBSN) are suitable for DIN rail mounting in a safe area or installation inside an explosion-proof enclosure.
- KMB4 kit provides all three barriers pre-installed in an ATEX-certified IP65 ABS enclosure — ready for direct field installation.
- All barriers carry ATEX II (1) GD marking for Zone 1 gas and Zone 21 dust environments.

- ZBPW — Single Zener barrier for load cell supply. DIN rail mount. ATEX II (1) GD <Ex ia Ga> IIC <Ex ia Da> IIIC.
- ZBSG — Single Zener barrier for load cell signal. DIN rail mount. ATEX II (1) GD <Ex ia Ga> IIC <Ex ia Da> IIIC.
- ZBSN — Single Zener barrier for load cell sense. DIN rail mount. ATEX II (1) GD <Ex ia Ga> IIC <Ex ia Da> IIIC.
